Position Overview

The Staff Accountant is a skilled professional responsible for recording and maintaining financial transactions within an organization.

Key Responsibilities

Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:

• Handle invoices, payments, and collections.
• Ensure timely processing of payables and/or receivables.
• Reconciling Cash and Bank Accounts:
• Verify and balance cash transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements to maintain accuracy.
• Maintaining an Accurate General Ledger:
• Record financial transactions.
• Make necessary adjustments as needed.
• Creating Journal Entries:
• Prepare journal entries for various accounts, including fixed assets.
• Ensure proper categorization and accuracy.
• Monitoring Cash Flow:
• Assist the CFO and Controller to keep track of the organization’s cash flow.
• Identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
• Issuing Invoices and Collecting Payments:
• Assist with the generation of invoices for customers.
• Follow up on outstanding payments.
• Handling Payroll:
• Assist with the remittance of payroll taxes.
• assist with various payroll duties as assigned.
• Collecting Information for Auditing Purposes
• Gather relevant data for audits.
• Ensure compliance with auditing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher in Accounting field
• 5-10 years applied experience in accounting roles
• No remote availability
